HIGHLIGHTS
- The primary camera configuration of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 is identical.
- It has recently been rumored that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 may also include the same camera configuration.
- This is unexpected given that the recently released OnePlus Open made advancements in the hardware of foldable cameras.
In the past week, there have been several significant new entries into the foldables market, which is problematic for Samsung’s current position as the category leader. Significant advancements are made by the new OnePlus Open and OPPO Find N3 in areas where the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 falls short. One of these is likely to remain unchanged even in the coming year.
Same cameras will be used in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6
- According to tipster Ice Universe, The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have the same camera as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 5. This is unexpected considering that the company has already utilized the same hardware for two generations of foldable devices. Thanks to improvements in camera technology on slab phones and even foldable rivals, there is also a pressing need for an upgrade.
- Recall that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 have three cameras: a 12MP ultrawide, a 12MP 3X telephoto, and a 50MP primary camera (based on the Samsung GN3 sensor).
- The new OnePlus Open, on the other hand, features a 48MP ultra-wide, 64MP 3X telephoto, and an industry-first 48MP Sony LYT-T808 primary camera sensor. Samsung needs to catch up in this area without a doubt, but the model for the next year may not do so.
The starting price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 when it was first introduced in India earlier this year was Rs 1,54,999. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 in Yellow, a new color option for the flip version of the series, was recently unveiled by Samsung. This month, OPPO also introduced the OPPO Find N3 Flip in India.
