Apple iPhone 16 series will be released later this year and the lineup carries iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max. Many details about the iPhone 16 series are starting to come out. Now according to reports iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus will come with increased RAM and faster Wi-Fi ability compared to its predecessor.

According to analyst Jeff Pu via 9to5Mac, that A18 processor first time is also coming on iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus model and it will be based on 3nm fabrication to enhance power efficiency at less power consumption.

According to Pu, iPhone 16 is set to come with 8GB RAM instead of 6GB RAM which is equipped with iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus. iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus will come with W-Fi 6E support which is currently only available in iPhone 15 Pro models. Current iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus only supports Wi-Fi 6 while the Wi-Fi 6E will offer faster speeds, low latency.

Meanwhile, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to be powered by A18 Pro chip which will be powered by Qualcomm X75 modem as noted by Pu. In contrast, iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are anticipated to come with the Qualcomm X70 modem.

If we recall, the iPhone 15 series is powered by the Qualcomm X70 model which provides noticeable enhancement in 5G speed compared to the Qualcomm X65 model which is used in iPhone 14.

According to a recent report by Mark Gurman, iPhone 16 series will come with a capture button which will be used for recording videos. According to different reports, Apple will include the Action button in the whole iPhone 16 lineup.

Why Action Button Matters

With the release of the iPhone 16 series, Apple intends to upgrade the Action button from a mechanical to a capacitive kind, adding even more functionality. The redesigned Action button, code-named Atlas, is anticipated to perform similarly to the Force Touch trackpad seen on more current MacBooks or the Touch ID Home button on older iPhone models.
