Apple officially unveiled the iOS 18 update at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2024. The new iPhone 16 series comes pre-installed with iOS 18. Starting on September 16, Apple began rolling out the iOS 18 update globally, making it available to a wide range of iPhone users. The update primarily focuses on enhanced Apple Intelligence features.
iOS 18 Eligible Devices
As always, Apple ensures compatibility with a wide array of its devices. The iPhone 16 series is the first to come with iOS 18 out of the box, but many older devices are also eligible for the update. According to Apple’s official website, the following iPhones are compatible with iOS 18:
