Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S24 FE, but rumors about its successor, the Galaxy S25 FE, are already starting to surface. According to multiple leaks and reports, this upcoming device will introduce a new MediaTek processor and a slimmer form factor.

One of the most significant changes expected in the Galaxy S25 FE is its processor. Tipster @jukanlos shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) that Samsung has altered its initial plan to include a MediaTek Dimensity chipset in the Galaxy S25. Instead, this chipset will now be featured in the Galaxy S25 FE.

While the Galaxy S24 FE was powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 2400e processor, the Galaxy S25 FE is rumored to come equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity SoC, likely the Dimensity 9400.

Beyond its upgraded internals, the Galaxy S25 FE is also expected to feature a significantly slimmer design. According to a report from The Elec, Samsung is working on reducing the thickness of the device by making adjustments to the battery configuration.

While the battery’s overall capacity may be reduced, the surface area is expected to increase, allowing Samsung to maintain a high power output without compromising on form factor. The device is likely to retain its large 6.7-inch display, similar to the Galaxy S24 FE.

The Galaxy S25 FE is not expected to launch until the third quarter of 2025. Speculation suggests that the Galaxy S25 FE might compete directly with Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air (or iPhone 17 Slim), both of which are expected to emphasize sleek designs and top-tier performance.
