OnePlus has officially unveiled OxygenOS 15. As per the brand, the new UI aims to enhance the user experience through a combination of fast performance, an elegant design, and advanced AI capabilities.
OxygenOS 15 features
- Parallel Processing: OxygenOS 15 introduces Parallel Processing, allowing smooth, lag-free app transitions by running animations simultaneously.
- Lightweight Storage: System storage is reduced by 20%, freeing up space by removing redundant features.
- AI-Powered Features: AI features include AI Detail Boost, AI Unblur, and AI Reflection Eraser for photo clarity, and Intelligent Search for intuitive app and content searches. Pass Scan and Circle to Search provide quick access to essential information, leveraging cloud and device AI.
- Enhanced AI Toolbox The AI Notes feature organizes notes, highlights important points, and even corrects grammar. AI Reply in the smart sidebar intelligently suggests responses, while Google Gemini as the default assistant takes productivity and planning to the next level, now in over 40 languages.
- Enhanced Design: New Shelf Cards, shimmering effects, and redesigned icons make for a visually engaging experience. Open Canvas improves multitasking with split-screen functionality.
- Open Canvas and Cross-Device Sharing: OxygenOS 15 expands Open Canvas to more OnePlus phones, allowing two-app split-screen multitasking without resizing windows, making multitasking effortless. The “Share with iPhone” feature makes file sharing between OnePlus and iPhones straightforward, with iPhone users needing only to download the O+Connect app.
- Advanced Security OxygenOS 15 includes robust security measures, such as Theft Protection, which locks the device when sudden acceleration is detected and allows remote locking via the FindMyDevice portal. Oxygen OS 15 rollout schedule
OnePlus has yet to release a full rollout schedule for OxygenOS 15. However, the first open beta of OxygenOS 15 is set to launch with the OnePlus 12 on October 30. Additionally, OnePlus plans to introduce its AI features by the end of November.
