After a series of leaks and reports, OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch and branding of its upcoming smartphones, which will serve as the successors to the OnePlus Ace 3 series.
OnePlus Ace 5 series launch details
In a post on Weibo, Louis Lee, President of OnePlus China, revealed the name of the new lineup. The upcoming series will be called the OnePlus Ace 5 series, bypassing the number 4. The OnePlus Ace 5 series is expected to include the OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro.
Additionally, the official mentioned that benchmark test results for the devices were highly impressive, with performance surpassing that of competitors in the same category by an entire generation. This suggests the phones will be equipped with powerful processors. While the exact launch date of the OnePlus Ace 5 series is still unknown, it is anticipated to be unveiled in December.
OnePlus Ace 5 render (leaked)
While the design of the OnePlus Ace 5 has not been officially revealed, renowned tipster Digital Chat Station shared a leaked render of the device on Weibo.
According to the leak, the smartphone will feature a flat display, crystal shield glass, and a metal frame paired with a ceramic body. Notably, it will be the only mid-range standard model to incorporate ceramic, crafted using the “Celadon Glazed Ceramic” process.
The OnePlus Ace 5 is also rumored to be powered by a custom-tuned Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This configuration is expected to offer gaming performance close to the Snapdragon 8 Elite while maintaining excellent power efficiency.
