Almost every second person we know of uses Instagram. So it would be safe to say that Instagram is one of the most popular social media apps, if not the most popular. Anyway, the app is now getting an update that introduces a few new things to it, such as support for longer 3-minute video reels.
Instagram gets a new feature update with 3-minute reel support, new edit app
Instagram recently announced a new set of features addition for its mobile application. One of the major changes done in the update is increased time duration for reels. Earlier, the time limit for the reel was 90 seconds (1.5 minutes) which has now increased to 180 seconds (3 minutes). The creators and the users will be now able to create longer videos, thanks to this new addition.
Further, a new Edit apps have been announced for iOS users. This app is particularly aimed towards making video editing easier on smartphones. This app will also be able to show insights into the performance and videos created and shared using this app. The app is currently open for pre-order for iOS users and will be soon available for Android users.
Another change done in this update is the introduction of a dedicated feed in the Reels. Using this the users will be able to see all the reels liked by their friends only. This could be a great addition if you want to just scroll through the reels liked by your friends and not do the endless scrolling.
