The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset was launched last year in October. It’s an octa-core chipset that is primarily made for Android flagship devices. It is probably the most powerful chipset you can get around. It can even beat its competitors in some aspects. However, the chipset was very costly and it caused the brands to hike the prices of their new devices. And to tackle this, it looks like Qualcomm has now released a new version of the same chipset.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Seven-Core Version Details
The new variant of Snapdragon 8 Elite offers similar specifications compared to the original version. The only change we could spot is the reduction in number of cores. The original version has a total of eight cores, while the newer one has one less; seven cores in total. It has two performance cores clocked at up to 4.32GHz and 5-power saving cores clocked at 3.53GHz.
