Xiaomi is gearing up to introduce its next flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, in China. Over the past few months, various leaks and rumors about the device have circulated online. Now, an official announcement has confirmed the launch timeline for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Launch Details
During a recent Q&A session, Lu Weibing, General Manager of the Xiaomi brand, shared key information about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s launch (via IT之家). Weibing revealed that the smartphone will be “sold simultaneously around the world” following its initial release. However, more specific details about the launch are expected to be announced after the Chinese New Year celebrations.
The Chinese New Year in 2025 begins on January 29th and concludes on February 12th. Based on this timeline, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is likely to launch in late February or early March in China. For context, its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, was launched on February 22nd, 2024.
The global debut of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to take place during the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2025, scheduled for March 3rd in Barcelona. Alongside the Ultra variant, Xiaomi is also anticipated to unveil other models from the Xiaomi 15 series, including the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, for international markets.
