Android 16 Beta 1 Brings Some Added Features to the UI
Android 16 Beta 1 adds some new features to the UI. The first feature in the list is live activities. It is similar to the live activities we get on iOS. It displays the current status of supported activities like rideshare, delivery and navigation.
The second feature in the list is Adaptive apps. The Android 16 Beta 1 allows the user to run an app on Android devices of any form factor. By form factor, we are referring to the app’s window size and aspect ratio. Another interesting feature is the addition of the Lossless video codec APV, which was developed by Samsung.
The scope of the existing predictive back gesture is also improved and it is now available for all third-party apps by default. Now the most important feature in the list is night mode detection for 3rd party camera apps. Using this, apps like Instagram and Snapchat will be able to provide better night images which will be comparable to the stock camera’s output.
