iQOO 12 was launched last year in India. It became very popular among tech enthusiasts for offering amazing performance along with a good set of cameras. The brand had originally promised upto three years of Android updates and four years of security updates for the device. However, the brand has now revised this policy.
iQOO 12 to get 4 years of security and 5 years of Android updates
iQOO has officially announced that the iQOO 12 device will get an additional 1 year of OS and security updates. This means that the device will get four and five years of OS and security updates respectively. The device was originally meant to get four years of software updates, till 2027; but it will not get updates till 2028.
This is a piece of very good news for the existing buyers, as they will now get an additional year of both security and OS software upgrades. This new policy will improve the overall longevity of the device and will provide an up-to-date and optimized software experience to its users.
The device is currently selling for Rs 45,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant and Rs 50,999 for the 16GB+512GB variant. The price is reduced further from the original launch price. The new buyers will not have to worry about the updates section, thanks to the new policy.
