- Samsung recently launched its flagship Galaxy S25 lineup.
- The S25 series makes a huge shift as all the variants are powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite.
- Now, a report claims that the S26 series will feature an Exynos chipset instead of a Snapdragon.
Not even a month has passed since the launch of the Galaxy S25 lineup and we have the leaks of the Galaxy S26 series coming already. The S25 lineup marks a major shift to the Snapdragon chipset but it looks like the shift was temporary as the brand is now planning to bring back the Exynos chipset in the S26 lineup.
Samsung Galaxy S26 series might feature the Exynos 2600 chipset
One of the popular Korean publications, The Bell has reported in its latest article that Samsung has managed to achieve a yield of more than 30 per cent in the latest SF2 test production. This test production is based on manufacturing a 2nm chipset.
The report further says that the company is working on the mass production of Exynos 2600 chipset. If everything, including the yield stabilization, goes as planned then the production will begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
The Exynos 2600 chipset is said to be targeted for the Galaxy S26 series. So this means that Samsung’s shift to Snapdragon was temporary and they’re once again planning to go back to its own Exynos chipset. Well how well the chipset will perform will be seen only once it’s released.
