The latest leak suggests that the OPPO Find X8 Ultra will feature a physical Action Button, similar to Apple’s design.

The OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro come with a three-stage Alert Slider, allowing users to switch between silent, vibration, and ringing modes. These devices also introduced the Quick Button, which can launch the camera, enable seamless zoom control, and act as a shutter button. However, the Quick Button is capacitive rather than a physical Action Button like the one found in the iPhone 16 series.
Now, a new leak from Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggests that OPPO and OnePlus are planning to redesign the traditional three-stage Alert Slider. According to the leaker, the companies will replace it with a press-style button similar to Apple’s Action Button, allowing for customizable functions.
The leak also mentions that the first smartphone featuring this new button design will debut in a flat-screen flagship in March. While the exact model name wasn’t disclosed, rumors indicate that the OPPO Find X8 Ultra could be the first to adopt the Action Button. Additionally, upcoming OnePlus flagship smartphones are also expected to feature a similar button.
