Google’s annual I/O 2025 is going to be held on May 20th. In that annual conference, we can expect to see the announcement of Android 16, Pixel 9a series, WearOS, Project Moohan, and more. But now, we are already getting leaks from various sources about the upcoming Pixel 9a, and it could arrive as early as next month. Here’s what you need to know about the Pixel 9a.
Google Pixel 9a Leaked: A Closer Look at the Design
We have leaked images of the Pixel 9a from Android Headlines, where they claimed that the upcoming Pixel 9a will be similar to its predecessor. By looking at the design, you can identify the changes easily, especially the camera bar at the back.
According to the leaked images, there are four different color options for Pixel 9a: Peony (Pink), Iris (Purple), Obsidian (Black), and Porcelain (White). It will be very similar to the Pixel 9 lineup. Like the Pixel 9, it’s going to be another compact phone with a flat frame and curved corners on all sides.
The power and volume rocker buttons are positioned on the right side. If we see the back panel design of the Pixel 9a, it’s quite similar compared to its last-gen Pixel 9 lineup. Talking about the camera design at the back, it’s placed in the horizontal camera bar with a black-colored pill-shaped cutout, and the LED flash unit sits outside. Talking about the front design, it has a center-aligned punch-hole camera along with a cutout display surrounded by thin bezels on all sides.
When it comes to the price, the base 128GB storage variant is said to come at $499, whereas the 256GB storage variant is expected to be priced at around $599. The Pixel 9a could be announced on March 19th, and sales will commence from March 26th.
