MediaTek has introduced three new mobile processors: the Dimensity 7400, Dimensity 7400X, and Dimensity 6400. The Dimensity 7400 and Dimensity 7400X are mid-range chipsets with comparable specifications, while the Dimensity 6400 targets the budget segment. MediaTek Dimensity 7400, Dimensity 7400X and Dimensity 6400 details
The Dimensity 7400 and Dimensity 7400X share similar specifications, but the Dimensity 7400X is optimized for flip-style foldable devices, offering support for dual displays. According to MediaTek, these chipsets integrate MediaTek’s NPU 6.0, delivering a 15% performance boost compared to the Dimensity 7300.
The Dimensity 6400 is designed to enhance power efficiency, consuming up to 19% less power during gaming than competing chipsets. It also offers 33% faster downlink and 18% faster uplink speeds compared to rival processors.
The first smartphones powered by the Dimensity 7400 and 7400X are set to launch in Q1 2025, MediaTek confirmed. Meanwhile, the Dimensity 6400 debuted in the Realme P3x 5G, which was launched in India earlier this month.
