The world’s largest and most popular search engine, Google, has now announced a new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered feature for Google search. The company calls it ‘AI Mode’. As per the brand, it will have more advanced reasoning, thinking and multi-modal capabilities.
Google search gets Gemini 2.0-powered AI model
Google says that AI Mode will let users get more detailed answers to their search queries along with the reference link to the information. The model can respond to more complex queries which might take multiple searches in the regular mode. Users can also ask follow-up questions to more detailed information.
The new AI Mode users a ‘query fan-out’ technique that issues multiple related searches concurrently across subtopics and multiple data sources and then presents those results together to provide an easy-to-understand response.
All and all, we can call it a more advanced version of AI summary in the search. As all it does is collate information from various sources and present them in easy-to-understand and detailed manner.
