Apple recently unveiled iPad 11th gen with A16 chipset and iPad Air with M3 chip in India. According to reports, the brand is said to have been working on a foldable iPad. Previous reports claim that the brand will launch the iPad in a 20-inch display while others stating that it will get 20.3-inch long. A recent leak says that the brand has finally created a prototype of the first foldable iPad. Here’s everything you need to know.
Apple’s foldable iPad could have a larger display
According to a post by the popular tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo, Apple’s first foldable iPad will ship with an 18.8-inch bigger display. The tipster also claimed that the iPad is expected to get a ‘metal-superstructure lens’ that will establish a connection between the transmitter and receiver components of a facial recognition system.
The new system would bring the 3D facial recognition system under the system which would be a big upgrade compared to the existing facial ID that Apple is offering right now on their iPad and iPhone. In simple terms, the iPad is likely to get an under-display facial recognition system. If this is true, then Apple’s first foldable iPad would be one of the biggest displays in this segment.
As of now, the brand isn’t offering any large display on their products. Apple launched the iPad Pro in 13-inch and the MacBook Pro in 16-inch. But now the brand is planning to launch a large 18.8-inch display on their first Apple foldable iPad. These leaks align with a report from the analyst firm Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), which said in December last year that Apple plans to launch an 18.8-inch iPad Pro in 2027.
