As of now, we don’t know when the company will push the update to fix the issue. But if you are having a slow charging issue then you can try the following alternatives as a temporary solution.
- Try using the original charging adapter and cable that comes out of the box.
- Disable battery optimization on essential apps.
- Clean the charging port gently to remove the dust/debris particles that are causing the slow charging issue.
- Don’t ever use your handset while charging.
- You can also charge the device while powered off to boost the charging speed.
These are some of the temporary fixes you can try out and in case it doesn’t work then it would be better to wait till the brand pushes an OTA update to fix the slow charging issue. Although we suggest you keep checking the system updates by going to settings and if it’s available in the future, ensure to install it and identify the issue. Maybe, we can expect the update soon as the charging issue appeared on many units of the Redmi note 12s and note 13 5G.
