WhatsApp is reportedly working on the addition of an AI rewrite feature for messages. The company was also recently tipped to be working on a redesign of Meta AI interface.
WhatsApp to get AI rewrite tool, multiple tones will be supported
AndroidAuthority in its latest report claims that WhatsApp is reportedly working on bringing AI-based writing features to its messaging app. Users will be able to use this tool for various different purposes such as proofreading the text or rewriting them in different tones.
The tool will have support for rewriting the text in seven different tones. As per the code inspected by the authority, the seven tones are—shorter, funny, puns, spooky, rephrase, supportive, and sarcastic.
The report further mentions that whenever the feature will roll out, it will be accessible via a pencil button that will appear right above the Send button. Clicking on it will open a pop-up allowing the user to access many AI-related text features.
