Lava will soon join HMD in launching D2M phone in India

It looks like a new wave of D2M devices are soon going to hit India. HMD, a global smartphone manufacturer recently announced that they will launch its D2M smartphone in India and now, homegrown brand Lava has also announced the launch of its own D2M phone.

Lava will launch its own D2M keypad phone in India

Lava is gearing up for the launch of D2M technology powered feature phone in India. It will align with the Government of India’s Make in India vision. The phone is reportedly developed by the company’s own research and development team in collaboration with Tejas Network.

Though the company has not yet revealed any specifications or features of the phone, the device is confirmed to pack the MediaTek MT6261 chipset. It will have an SL3000 software receiver chip which is developed by Saankya Lab.

The device will have a 2.8-inch QVGA display with the support of GSM connectivity and UHF (ultra high frequency) antenna. The UHF will enable the device to have strong TV reception. It will pack a 2,200mAh battery.
