According to Apple, some iPhone 14 Plus owners may be unable to view the rear camera preview. “Apple has determined that the rear camera on a very small percentage of iPhone 14 Plus devices may exhibit no preview,” the company stated. This issue affects only iPhone 14 Plus models manufactured between April 10, 2023, and April 28, 2024.

To check your eligibility, visit Apple’s support page and enter your device’s serial number. If your iPhone 14 Plus qualifies, Apple will repair it at no cost. Affected users have several repair options: they can visit an Apple Authorized Service Provider, book an appointment at an Apple Retail Store, or arrange for a mail-in repair through Apple Support. If you believe your iPhone 14 Plus is affected and you previously paid for rear camera repairs, Apple may offer you a refund for those service costs.
