- Apple had recently announced its AI services called the “Apple Intelligence.”
- It is based on the OpenAI LLM.
- In a recent turn of events, Apple has increased storage requirements for it.
After a long wait, Apple finally made its entry into the world of AI. It announced Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI features that will empower iPhones, iPads and other Apple products. However, when it was introduced, the storage requirement was less but with time it seems Apple is unable to manage it and storage requirements for it have now doubled up.
Apple Intelligence storage requirement increased for Apple devices
On its official support page, Apple has updated a piece of information saying that the storage requirement for Apple intelligence on iPhone, iPad and Mac is now 7GB. Just for your reference, when it was announced, only 4GB of free storage was needed to run Apple Intelligence, which has now increased.
This means that if a user wants to run Apple intelligence features on their Apple device, then. the minimum storage that would be free on his or her device would be 7GB, up from the previous requirement of 4GB.
Just like any other AI apparently, this also consists of a slew of features. Some of the highlighted pictures are intelligent writing tools like Web page summarization, proofreading and grammar checking. This can be seamlessly integrated into Apple devices.,
