Apple iPad Air, iMac display details
Currently, most of Apple’s non-high-end devices, including the iPad Air and standard iMac models, are equipped with a 60Hz refresh rate display. Only the higher-end “Pro” models, like the iPad Pro and Pro Display XDR, feature the more advanced 120Hz refresh rate.
However, a new rumor indicates that Apple is working on a 90Hz display, which could be featured in the iPad Air, 24-inch iMac, and Studio Display. The rumor comes from an anonymous source who shared this information on the Upgrade podcast, hosted by Myke Hurley and Jason Snell
According to 9to5Mac’s report, the 90Hz display will first be featured on the upcoming M3-powered iPad Air. This would be the first time the iPad Air receives a display refresh rate upgrade, making it more competitive with higher-end models. Following the iPad Air, the 24-inch iMac and Studio Display are expected to also adopt the 90Hz refresh rate in their next iterations.
