After announcing the 11th generation iPad, Apple has now unveiled the M4 MacBook Air and Mac Studio. Both the devices come with the M4 chipset, the same chip that powers the existing MacBook Pro lineup. Here is the complete information about the devices:
M4 MacBook Air and Mac Studio: Price and Availability
The 13-inch variant of MacBook Air starts from Rs 99,990, while the 15-inch variant starts from Rs 124,990. The new Mac Studio, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 219,400. The devices are up for pre-order, while the shipping and offline availability starts from March 12th.
M4 MacBook Air specifications and features
The new MacBook Air offers a faster and better M4 chip compared to its predecessor. It features a 10-core CPU, up to a 10-core GPU and 16GB of unified memory on the base model. The top-end model gets up to 32GB of unified memory. The chipset is compatible with the Apple Intelligence.
It comes in two different screen sizes: 13-inch and 15-inch. Both the variants get a 12-megapixel centre stage camera. The company claims upto 18 hours of battery backup. Because of the chipset, it can connect upto two external displays. The rest of the specifications remain similar to its predecessor. Users can buy the device in a slew of colour variants such as Sky Blue, Metallic Light Blue, Midnight, Starlight and Silver.
New Mac Studio specifications and features
The new Mac Studio comes housed in a cube-shaped aluminium box with the USB-C port and SD card slot on the front. It packs an M4 Max chipset, which is even more powerful than the M4. It gets upto a 16-core CPU, upto a 40-core GPU and over a half terabyte per second of unified memory bandwidth. It gets a Neural Engine that is over three times faster.
The device offers advanced graphic architecture, hardware accelerated mesh shading and a second-generation ray tracing engine. The base model starts with 32GB of unified memory.
