Apple appears to be gearing up to launch a refreshed version of its MacBook Air, featuring its latest M4 chip. Multiple signs point to an imminent release, and a new leak further strengthens this speculation.
Apple MacBook Air M4 Spotted in Leaks
According to MacRumors, a private account on X (formerly Twitter) recently shared model identifiers for the upcoming MacBook Air. These identifiers are Apple’s internal codes used to classify devices and their components.
The source claims that both the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models will feature the T8132 chip, which is the codename for Apple’s M4 processor. Given that this chip is already powering the latest MacBook Pro and iPad Pro models, it strongly suggests that Apple’s next-generation MacBook Air lineup will also be equipped with the M4 chip.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone SE 4 soon, with the MacBook Air likely to follow in the coming weeks. However the brand is yet to share any official information about the release of the devices.
