Yesterday, Apple released the iOS 18.4 beta 1 version on all compatible iPhone models. While the stable version of the update is expected to release in April. However, iOS 18 already brought many Apple Intelligence (AI) features to the iPhone including ChatGPT integration. According to the leaks, the latest beta update suggests that Apple is working on Google Gemini Integration with an Apple Intelligence that will be available in near future. Apple could bring Gemini Integration with Apple Intelligence
Last year, Cupertino-based tech giant announced partnership with OpenAI at WWDC. Now, Apple seems to be working on a third-party model integration with Apple Intelligence that will be available to switch third-party AI models on the compatible iPhone models. On the other hand, Aaron Perris (via MacRumors) spotted the integration of the third-party AI model in iOS 18.4 beta version.
As per the leaks, the third-party AI models are referring to “Google” and “OpenAI” which would be integrated with Apple Intelligence and it will be available on compatible iPhone models. The leak also suggests that Apple is continuously working to bring Gemini as a third-party model, therefore we can expect Google Gemini as an AI third-party model.
Although it’s not confirmed when Google Gemini Integration will happen with Apple Intelligence. We can either expect the Gemini Integration in the upcoming iOS 18.4 update or future updates. In the future, we can see more third-party AI models integration with Apple Intelligence where you can choose AI models accordingly. As of now, Apple hasn’t confirmed when they will bring the Gemini AI Integration with Apple Intelligence.
