Apple to partner with Google for generative AI features on iPhones: report

Apple is now also entering in AI features on its iPhones and the Cupertino based tech giant is looking for partnership with Google for generative AI features on iPhones. If the partnership is successfully finalized, iPhone users can use Gemini AI features.

Apple to use Google Gemini for generative AI on iPhones

According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple is in “active negotiations” with Google to use Google’s Gemini for generative AI on iPhones. But details of the deal between Apple and Google haven’t been finalized yet, and How the final output will come. Apple is also in talks with Chat GPT owner OpenAI, report added.

Report also added, Apple is already working on new iOS 18 features based on their own AI modes but those features will be restricted to the device instead of Cloud. Earlier reports also suggests, iOS 18 will come with AI features like auto-summarizing, auto-completing on native apps including pages and keynote. Apple Music will also be updated with AI to create better playlists. Siri is also slated to get a major AI overhaul in iOS 18 and Apple is also reportedly working on a new AI-based system for AppleCare employees.
