Apple launched the iPad Mini (7th-gen) last year in October and now the next generation iPad Mini will be launching in 2026. The Cupertino-based tech giant keeps adding the mini model in its tablet lineup every two years. The iPad Mini (7th generation) uses the liquid retina LCD display along with IPS technology but we can expect some changes in the display starting with the next year in iPad Mini line-up as per the report. According to a Weibo post shared by tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), the upcoming iPad Mini (8-gen) will ship with an OLED display screen, a massive upgrade from the IPS LCD Panel.
The report also claimed that two small tablets will get LCDs and one OLEDs for iPad. However, there’s no mention of the iPad Mini (8th generation) in the report, but Apple’s supply chain claims that it will get an upgrade with a display screen. However, it remains unknown if the next-generation will come with a higher refresh rate rather than using the same 60Hz refresh rate. The iPad Air is expected to come with the OLED screen next year. This would be a major upgrade from Apple in the display compared to current iPad gen models. Although the company hasn’t shared anything about the upcoming iPad Mini (8th Gen) yet, but as per the report we can expect some changes in the display, particularly with the iPad Mini (8th generation).
