Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is a legal and easy process that helps the customer change their existing service provider to another service provider all the while keeping the same SIM number. All this is carried out by the process set by TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) that involves generating a Unique Porting Code (UPC) that ensures the transfer of our number to a new service provider or network.

In our case, MNP would help us to change our existing service provider, i.e., Airtel, to Jio without changing our SIM number.
