Google scheduled its I/O 2024 for May 14th where the company will announce Gemini AI models, Android 15 updates and other Google services updates and its Google Pixel 8a.
Google I/O 2024 details
Google officially confirmed, Google I/O 2024 is scheduled to start from May 14th. Opening keynote is expected to focus on Android 15 and updates, Google services including Gmail, Google Photos and more.
Google might also announce more about its Google Gemini AI and its smaller version Gemma at Google I/O 2024 conference. Company is also expected to announce Google Pixel 8a at I/O 2024.
Google Pixel 8a (expected) Specifications
Google Pixel 8a will be powered by Google’s Tensor G3 SoC, Mali-G715 GPU with Titan G2 security chip with 6.1-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. Google Pixel 8a has 5000mAh battery with 27W charging.
Google Pixel 8a runs on Android 14 with Pixel UI on top, the device offers up to 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB Internal storage. Google Pixel 8a has dimensions 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9 mm.
Android 15 features
According to a recent rumor, Android 15 will come with ‘Easy Mode’ with large icons which improve the readability especially to those users who have vision issues.
Android 15 is expected to feature Auracast, which will allow users to broadcast audio via Bluetooth directly within the operating system. This should simplify the process of sharing or connecting to nearby LE audio streams without complex pairing procedures.
