Google is working day and night to push the stable version of Android 16 as soon as possible. The brand had recently revealed its plan to push the latest iteration of Android before its usual launch timeline. The Android 16 stable might go official as early as June. But before moving to stable release, a proper beta test is needed is therefore, the brand has now pushed the Android 16 Beta 4 update for all the eligible devices.

Android 16 Beta 4 update is here for all the eligible devices: here’s what’s new

Google has started pushing Android 16 Beta 4 for its Pixel devices. All the Pixel smartphones starting from the Pixel 6 series, including and not limited to Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet, are eligible for the update.

Besides the official Pixel devices, the Android 16 Beta 4 will be available for various partner brands such as iQOO, OnePlus, Honor, Realme, Vivo and more.

As for the changelog, the update has the build number BP22.250325.007 and brings fix to several known bugs. Here is the official changelog for reference:

Changes

  • The bubbly digital clocks on the Always-on Display (AOD) will get a hint of colour based on the theme you choose. 
  • Screenshot and Select options are now part of the long-press menu of the recents menu.
  • The media player notification on the lockscreen has darker artwork. In other words, they aren’t as bright before.
  • Battery Health information in the Settings app has reportedly gone missing for some users.
  • You can now get a demo of the gesture navigation menu in the settings menu.

Bugs fixed

  • Resolved an issue where the radar map would disappear in the Pixel Weather app (Issue #407282089).
  • Addressed issues affecting haptic performance and causing delayed feedback (Issues #400455826, #398829454).
  • Fixed a bug that led to excessive power consumption on certain devices (Issue #395519809).
  • Resolved a problem that triggered a system restart when answering calls in specific scenarios (Issue #402639338).
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when screen magnification was enabled (Issue #408330740).
  • Corrected an issue preventing the screen saver from starting (Issue #398963286).
  • Fixed a restart issue triggered by the use of the ranging API (Issue #406577030).
