Recently Google launched its Google Pixel 8 series, Pixel Watch 2 in India, Now Rick Osterloh Senior Vice President, Devices & Services announced Google Pixel 8 will soon be manufactured in India while the company is joining the “Make in India” initiative and Indian manufactured devices expect to start rollout in 2024.

Today we see an even greater opportunity to make Pixel smartphones available to more people in India, and are very excited to announce our plan to manufacture Pixel smartphones in India. We intend to start with the Pixel 8, and will partner with international and domestic manufacturers to produce Pixel smartphones locally. We expect these devices to start to roll out in 2024, joining India’s “Make in India” initiative.

Google Pixel 8 Powered by Google Tensor G3 SoC with Titan M2 security coprocessor with 6.2-inch FHD+ super actua OLED display coupled with 120Hz refresh rate which can be shifted to 60Hz – 120Hz, 2000 nits of peak brightness. In the camera section Google Pixel 8 has 50MP Octa PD wide primary sensor with OIS & EIS, 12MP Ultrawide sensor with LED flash and 10.5MP Dual PD front camera.
Google Pixel 8 has a 4575mAh battery with up to 27W Wired and 18W Qi – certified wireless charging and the device runs on Android 14 and the device will get 7 years of OS and security updates and feature drop updates. Google Pixel 8 also features 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.3, Wi – Fi 7, NFC and device will be protected with Gorilla Glass Victus on both sides, IP68 rating, stereo speakers under display fingerprint sensor.
Google Pixel 8 offers 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 Internal storage and the device has 8.9mm thickness and weighs 187 grams.
