Google launched its first Google Pixel Fold back in May last year. Now the company is working on Google Pixel Fold 2. Now according to a report, Google might launch its Pixel Fold 2 as Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Google Pixel 9 Pro might replace the Pixel Fold 2
According to a report by Android Authority, Google might adjust the naming scheme for this year’s Pixel smartphones.
- Google Pixel 9 codenamed “tokay”.
- Pixel 9 Pro codenamed “caiman”.
- Google Pixel 9 Pro XL codenamed “komodo”.
- Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold codenamed “comet”.
Additionally these codenames have likely been confirmed by some of the software built for the tech giant’s devices which will launch later this year. It’s worth mentioning that Google had referred to the phone codename “comet” as the “Pixel Fold 2” in the recent past.
Reports also mentioned that the “Pixel 9 Pro Fold” name isn’t final yet and the company might change it later.

Google Pixel Fold 2 will be powered by Tensor G4 SoC with 6.4-inch Cover display, 7.9-inch Primary display. Google Pixel Fold 2 runs on Android 14 “Company will give 7 Years of OS & Security updates.
Google Pixel Fold 2 offers up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 Internal storage. Google Pixel Fold 2 has dimensions 155.2 x 77.1 x 10.54 mm.
