Honor 200 and 200 Pro were launched last year in July and the Lite variant arrived in September with MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 OS out of the box. As many brands already rolled out the latest Android 15 OS to compatible devices, Honor released the update as well for the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro with several new AI features and February security patch. The update is currently rolling out to all the Honor 200 and 200 Pro users. Here’s everything you need to know.
Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro Updated to MagicOS 9.0
The Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro were launched last year with MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 out of the box. The Honor 200 handset is packed with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the Pro model is packed with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. As you may know, the latest version of the software is Android 15 and almost every brand released the Android 15 OS for their compatible models.
Now, the brand has announced the latest Android 15 OS based on MagicOS 9.0 to all the Honor 200 and 200 Pro users. The rollout is said to be fully completed by February 27th for Pro models, while the Honor 200 are scheduled by March 3rd. The update brings AI features and February security patch alongside. The system versions on the Honor 200 and 200 Pro are changed to 9.0.0.133 and 9.0.0.135.
Many users already received the latest Android 15 OS based on MagicOS 9.0 on their Honor 200 & 200 Pro models. Both phones received the Android 15 update with February security patch for enhanced security and performance. On the other hand, the update brings several new features as mentioned like AI Translate, AI Cutout, AI Photo editor, New Gesture Access, and Redesigned UI.
The Redesigned UI brings new icons, cards, and a new control center for a fresh and aesthetic look compared to the previous boring one. The update is currently rolling to all users and you’ll get a notification when it will arrive on your phone.
