Instagram is always finding new ways to make the user experience enhanced and more functional with new features and improvements. The platform is now testing ‘Dislike button’ feature which is likely to be released in upcoming days but it’s not officially confirmed. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Instagram Begun Testing for Dislike Comments
According to Mosseri on a Thread post, the new dislike button will appear next to comments on individual user’s posts, and nobody will be able to know that you have disliked the comment. Plus, there will be no dislike count button, so you won’t be able to identify how many users have disliked this comment.
Although, there’s no images leaked as it’s currently in a testing phase and it’ll be available in the upcoming days. But it’s likely to be similar to the Reddit vote Up/Down button for comments.
According to the reports, Instagram will rank down comments by moving them towards the bottom of the comments section. This way, users won’t be able to see those comments and helps in making comments more friendly on Instagram. While, we have an option to disable/enable comments, decide who can comment on your post and many more.
Therefore, it would be a helpful feature if the dislike button is rolled out publicly. This way, users can easily express their negative feedback or disinterest on a user’s comment. Let’s see whether Instagram officially announced this feature publicly or not. But it would be great and as for official confirmation for the testing phase, we can expect this feature on Instagram.
