It’s been more than two years since Apple introduced the high refresh rate display on its iPhones. The brand calls it ProMotion 120Hz and until now, it was only seen on the Pro models. However, things are going to change with the iPhone 17 series as some reports are telling us that even the base models in the series will get the support of a high refresh rate panel.
Apple iPhone 17 series base models will get a Pro Motion 120Hz display
Until now, all the base models of the iPhones get standard 60Hz display, whereas the Pro models get 120Hz display. However, as per a new post made by Digital Chat Station, things will change with the iPhone 17 series.
As per the information collected by him based on the initial supply chain of the upcoming iPhone 17 series, the standard models in the lineup i.e., iPhone 17 and 17 Plus will also get the support of Pro Motion 120Hz display.
The tipster did not explicitly mention “120Hz” in his post, but by the word high refresh rate, we all can assume that it is nothing but a 120Hz Pro Motion panel. Aside from this, we have very limited information on the specifications of the upcoming iPhones. More updates on the same are likely to be shared in the coming days.
