- An improved 48MP telephoto lens is expected for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
- It’s possible that the upgraded telephoto lens has been optimized to work with the Vision Pro.
- There is a 12MP telephoto lens included with the newly revealed iPhone 17 Pro Max.
A few months after Apple’s launch of the iPhone 15 series, online leaks regarding the upcoming iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 series have already begun to surface. A new “Capture Button” is anticipated for the iPhone 16 series, in addition to the Action Button. The new clicker may be limited to a single camera feature. Apple may designate this new button for recording videos.
According to an earlier report by tipster Digital Chat Station, the iPhone 16 Pro Max—which has an Ultra Telephoto lens—is expected to perform better than premium Android models. According to a new report regarding the iPhone 17 series, a 48MP telephoto lens may be included in the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
iPhone 17 Pro Max camera details
The iPhone 17 Pro Max may be the subject of a new research note from Haitong International Securities, which was produced in conjunction with the Hong Kong-based investment firm.
- The next iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to have an improved 48MP telephoto lens, according to a report by MacRumors.
- Interestingly, it is likely that this improved telephoto lens has been specially designed to work with Apple’s upcoming Vision Pro headset.
- The newly revealed iPhone 15 Pro models, on the other hand, have a 48MP primary camera in addition to 12MP ultra-wide and 12MP telephoto lenses.
Pu, the note’s author, had previously said that a 48MP ultra-wide lens would be included in the iPhone 16 Pro versions. As a result, there is conjecture that the iPhone 17 Pro Max may be the first iPhone model to use a rear camera system made up only of 48MP lenses.
It is important to remember that a camera with more megapixels may take pictures with greater detail, which is useful for things like printing and cropping.
iPhone 16 series expected features
However, according to a new report, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to perform better than premium Android devices, especially now that it has an Ultra Telephoto lens. “Ultra Telephoto” or “Super Telephoto” refers to cameras that have focal lengths longer than 300mm.
For comparison, the 10X Optical Zoom sensor in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has a 230mm focal length, which is a significant improvement above the 6X optical zoom periscope telephoto camera on the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max may, in the meantime, go by the name iPhone 16 Ultra, indicating a more significant specification difference from the Pro variant.
