Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 17 series next year, likely in September 2025. While the release is still a long way off, leaks about the upcoming iPhones are already surfacing. The latest one gives us a glimpse of the iPhone 17 Pro Max through concept-based renders.
iPhone 17 Pro Max tipped to get a new camera layout
Russian tech blog Wylsa has shared concept renders of the iPhone 17 Pro Max. It’s important to note that these are not official renders but are based on previously leaked information.
According to the renders, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will feature a dual-material back panel, blending aluminum and glass. The upper half of the rear panel is expected to be made of aluminum, while the bottom half will remain glass to ensure compatibility with wireless charging.
The most striking change is in the camera design. Apple appears to be moving away from the square or circular camera modules seen in recent models. The renders suggest the iPhone 17 Pro Max will feature a rectangular, elongated oval-shaped camera module, resembling the design language of the Google Pixel series. This camera island houses three lenses, likely the main, ultrawide, and telephoto sensors, along with an LED flash.
On the front, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to retain a flat display panel and the Dynamic Island, similar to the current generation of iPhones. However, the renders hint at a higher screen-to-body ratio, which could make the bezels slimmer than ever before.
If these leaks are accurate, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is set to receive significant camera and design upgrades, marking a departure from the aesthetics of its predecessors.
