On Monday Reliance Jio launched the Jio Bharat 4G feature phone in India, Which is an affordable 4G feature phone for 250 Million existing feature phone users. Karbon will also adopt the Jio Bharat platform to launch the Jio Bharat Phone.
Jio Bharat Phone Price in India, Availability
Jio Bharat Phone Priced at Rs 999 in India and Jio Bharat 4G Phone comes in Red and Blue Color options. Beta Trial for first 1 Million Jio Bharat Phone will start from July 7th 2023.
Jio Bharat Phone recharge Plans
Jio offers Jio Bharat plans for its Jio Bharat Phone which starts from Rs 123 for 28 days On this plan you get unlimited voice call and 0.5GB data/day. Jio also offers the annual plan priced at Rs 1,234 this plan also offers the same things.
Jio Bharat Phone Features
Jio has yet to reveal the full specifications of Jio Bharat Phone but they revealed the key features of Jio Bharat Phone. The Jio Bharat Phone supports 4G and users are able to make UPI payment with this feature phone via the JioPay app, users also can watch movies, TV shows via the Jio Cinema app.
The Jio Bharat Phone comes with the JioSaavn app which gives users access to over 8 – Core Songs. In the Jio Bharat Phone you also get FM radio, torchlight. For now it isn’t confirmed on Which OS the Jio Bharat Phone will run and whether it will allow you to download other apps or not.
Reason behind launching the Jio Bharat Phone?
With the Jio Bharat Phone Reliance Jio aims to connect those users who has Old technology features phone i.e 2G with the Jio Bharat Phone feature phone users can also start using the 4G technology on feature phone, Jio Bharat Phone will help them in many ways: To make a payment via UPI, entertainment and etc.
Reliance also plans to expand the Jio Bharat Platform with other brands. So that more devices will come in the market in the entry level segment and the First smartphone brand to adopt this is going to be Karbonn.
Reliance Jio will start the Trial for first 1 Million Jio Bharat Phone from July 7th, Company aims to upgrade existing 2G feature phone users to Jio Bharat 4G Phone and the Trial will run in around 6,500 tehsils in India.
