The ‘Bharat GPT’ program, a ground-breaking effort in partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay, is about to be launched by telecom operator Reliance Jio Infocomm. This initiative, which was unveiled by Reliance Jio chairman Akash Ambani, intends to use massive language models and generative artificial intelligence (GPT) to revolutionize a number of national industries.
Bharat GPT and it’s vision
Jio’s overarching plan, dubbed “Jio 2.0,” includes the Bharat GPT program and is centered on building an all-encompassing development environment. Since 2014, the program has been in partnership with IIT Bombay, with the goal of investigating the enormous potential of artificial intelligence to spur innovation in a wide range of goods and services.
Large language models and generative AI will be used in applications that define the next ten years, according to Akash Ambani, who underlined the importance of AI. He outlined the continuous initiatives to incorporate AI both widely throughout all industries and vertically within organizations.
Akash Ambani revealed that in addition to the Bharat GPT initiative, Reliance Jio is creating a television operating system (OS). The goal of this operating system is to improve the Jio device user experience and add to the company’s service ecosystem.
Akash Ambani stated that the business is dedicated to introducing innovative goods and services in a number of industries, such as media, gadgets, commerce, and communication. He revealed that Jio has been working hard on its television operating system and that extensive preparations are being made for its release.
Additionally, Akash Ambani emphasized the role artificial intelligence would play in defining the future, pointing out that AI will be incorporated into every facet of goods and services. Speaking to businesses of all sizes, he discussed the company’s emphasis on developing a 5G stack for private networks and reaffirmed Jio’s dedication to advancing technology in India.
Akash Ambani expressed faith in India’s potential to become a USD 6 trillion economy by the end of the decade and referred to it as the “biggest innovation center” throughout his speech. He emphasized the inclusiveness of artificial intelligence by referring to it as “all included” in addition to artificial intelligence.
