JioHotstar is finally launched in India with a combination of both JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar. The platform is publicly now available to access and watch premium contents using the subscription plan. It is available as an app and website with a new design. JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar existing users can still access their subscription plans on JioHotstar. Here’s everything you need to know.
JioHotstar Launch Details
After various reports and rumours from numerous publications, the JioHotstar app and website is finally launched with a new look. Previously, the JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar was a single platform where they provided multiple contents from every single category, be it Hollywood, Tollywood, Bollywood, Cricket, Kids, Popular shows, etc. Now you can access all these in just a single platform — the JioHotstar which has been unified now.
With JioHotstar, you can access premium content from popular Hollywood studios including Disney, Peacock, Marvel, HBO, Marvel, Pixar, etc. Additionally, JioHotstar brings a new category called ‘Sparks’ where you can watch shows of the popul6 Indian digital creator in high quality.
Although you can’t find the JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar app on Play Store, it’s now rebranded as JioHotstar. You have to just update the app and it will give you the new look of the JioCinema.
JioHotstar Subscription Plans and Pricing
Now let’s talk about the pricing. If you are an existing user of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar then your subscription plan will be updated accordingly in order to access the premium content on JioHotstar. However, if you are a new user on JioHotstar, you can refer to these subscription plans.
JioHotstar Mobile (ad-supported plan)
- ₹149 for 3 months and ₹499 for 1 year.
- Only 1 device will be accepted at a time (mobile).
- Access to HD streaming.
JioHotstar Super (ad-supported plan)
- ₹299 for 3 months and ₹899 annually.
- Two devices supported at one time (TV, laptop, & mobile).
- Access to Full HD (1080p) streaming and Dolby Atmos.
JioHotstar Premium (ad-free plan)
- ₹299 for 1 month, ₹499 for 3 months, and ₹1,499 annually.
- Four devices supported at a time (TV, laptop, & mobile).
- Access to 4K (2160p) + Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
These were the subscription plans of the JioHotstar that will give you access to the premium contents including live sports (with ads), Bollywood, Popular digital creator shows, originals, kid’s shows, and more. You can watch your popular shows/movies in your selected languages.
