After the successful debut of MediaTek Dimensity 9400 flagship chipset in the market, the firm is now preparing for the release of its successor, dubbed the Dimensity 9500. The launch is expected to take place in the last quarter of this year. However, ahead of any official information, the specifications of the chipset have been tipped.
Here’s what the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 may bring
Popular tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some information on the specifications of the upcoming MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset. As per the tipster, it will have one primary core, three performance cores and four power-saving cores.
He says that it will have 1x “Travis” core, 3x “Alto” core and 4x “Gelas” cores. These are not the name of cores but their codenames. The primary cores are supposed to feature the Cortex X930, whereas the performance cores are supposed to feature the Cortex A730.
Further, it will have an Immortalis-Drage CPU. The microarchitecture of the GPU will enable it for better ray tracking performance and reduced power consumption. It will have a 16 MB L3 cache and 10MB of SLC cache. It will support DDR5x RAM with 10667 Mbps frequency and UFS 4.1 storage standard. The chipset will be built on 3nm node.
