Apple has started the pre-order of Apple Vision Pro from January 19th and the device will be available from February 2nd and the device will be available through Apple’s Online & Offline stores.
Recent reports suggests, Apple will also launch the Apple Vision Pro outside the US. However as per a report by Bloomberg, Apple Vision Pro won’t launch with a dedicated Netflix app.
Apple Vision Pro price, launch details
Apple Vision Pro price starts from $3499 (around Rs 2,90,610) for 256GB and the device pre-orders starts from January 19th at 5 AM PT which is 6:30 PM IST in US and the device will be available through Apple’s Online & Offline stores.
YouTube, Spotify won’t launch separate apps for Apple Vision Pro details
According to a report by Bloomberg, YouTube has no intention to create a new app for the Vision Pro at the launch, and its existing iPad app won’t be compatible with the device. Similar like YouTube, Spotify also has no plans for a new app for Vision Pro operating system VisionOS.
But the music services are expected to work through Web browsers. YouTube and Spotify both platforms suggest users can access their content through a web browser on Apple Vision Pro.
Vision Pro reportedly comes with Apple’s own music and podcast apps, which directly compete with Spotify. However the absence of support from Netflix, Spotify and YouTube means the most popular streaming apps won’t be accessible with the Apple Vision Pro launch. However other entertainment apps such as Disney+, Peacock, ESPN, Max, Amazon Prime Video are actively participating.
Currently YouTube and Spotify didn’t disclose the reason behind their decision not to support the Apple Vision Pro. Notably Spotify doesn’t provide an app on completing like Meta Quest but YouTube does.
