Nothing is gearing up to launch several new smartphones next year as successors to its 2024 lineup. A fresh leak has now revealed details about the processors and cameras of the Nothing Phone (3a), Nothing Phone (3a) Plus, and CMF Phone (2).

Nothing Phone (3a) series and CMF Phone (2) leak

According to a report spotted by Android Authority, information about the Nothing Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Plus, and CMF Phone (2) was uncovered in builds of the Android 15-based Nothing OS 3.0.

Internally, the Nothing Phone (3a) is codenamed “asteroids,” while the Nothing Phone (3a) Plus goes by “asteroids_plus.” The CMF Phone (2), part of Nothing’s more affordable CMF sub-brand, is referred to as “galaga.”

The leak suggests that the Nothing Phone (3a) will include a telephoto camera, while the Phone (3a) Plus is expected to feature a periscope zoom lens. If true, this would make the Nothing Phone (3a) series the first from the brand to include telephoto capabilities, marking a significant upgrade in camera technology.

Another notable development is the introduction of eSIM support for the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Plus, a first for the company. These devices may offer dual-SIM configurations, with the choice of two physical nano-SIM slots or a combination of one eSIM and one nano-SIM.

Under the hood, the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Plus will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. Meanwhile, the CMF Phone (2) will feature a MediaTek chipset. The Nothing Phone (3a) series and CMF Phone (2) are anticipated to launch sometime in 2025, with more details likely to surface closer to the official announcements.
