Reliance and NVIDIA partnership
Reliance, led by Mukesh Ambani, and NVIDIA announced a collaborative effort to establish a cutting-edge AI infrastructure in India. The announcement was made by CEO Jensen Huang during a conversation with Ambani at the 2024 NVIDIA AI Summit on Thursday.
Through this partnership, Reliance and NVIDIA aim to create a powerful AI infrastructure within India. Ambani emphasized that this development will enhance domestic capabilities and establish India as a prominent force in the global AI market.
“It makes complete sense for India to manufacture its own AI,” said Huang. “You should not export data to import intelligence,” he added, underscoring the importance of building a self-reliant AI ecosystem in India.
NVIDIA is also joining forces with India’s top IT companies, including Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro, to train nearly half a million developers. This initiative aims to ensure that India leads the AI revolution with a highly skilled workforce.
