OPPO is set to launch its latest foldable flagship, the OPPO Find N5, in China this month. The company has already revealed several details about the device, and now it has confirmed that the Find N5 will come with DeepSeek-R1 integration, the recently popular open-source large language model (LLM) from China.
OPPO Find N5 and DeepSeek Integration
In a recent Weibo post, Zhou Yibao, OPPO Find series product manager, announced that the Find N5, touted as the world’s thinnest foldable flagship will officially feature DeepSeek-R1. This makes it one of the first OPPO devices to support the LLM.
Currently, DeepSeek is accessible through its official website or mobile app. However, with DeepSeek-R1 built into the Find N5, users won’t need to install additional software or follow complex setup procedures. Instead, they can simply activate DeepSeek via OPPO Boo Assistant using voice commands.
Additionally, the Find N5 will leverage DeepSeek-R1’s online search capabilities and allow users to export generated content as local files for convenient storage and use.
OPPO has confirmed that the Find N5 will be among the first models to feature DeepSeek-R1 integration. Starting in late February, the OPPO Find series will gradually receive updates, with more devices set to gain support for the AI-powered model in the future.
