Redmi has officially announced that the Redmi Turbo 4, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset, will launch on January 2nd in China. Alongside the renders already shared, the brand has now revealed details about the phone’s battery and durability features.
Redmi Turbo 4 battery size, IP69 rating and other details
The Redmi Turbo 4 will house Redmi’s largest 6550mAh battery, which is designed to endure 1,600 charge cycles over a span of four years. This means the battery retains 80% of its capacity after daily full charge and discharge cycles under a standard environment of 25°C.
Additionally, the phone is equipped with a dual-boost cold-resistant chip, enabling operation in extreme conditions, as low as -35°C. On the durability front, the Redmi Turbo 4 boasts IP66, IP68, and IP69 waterproof ratings. Redmi has also announced a free waterproof guarantee for the first sale and a five-year battery warranty. The details were shared by Redmi on its Weibo account.
The Redmi Turbo 4 will also mark the debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset. While it launches in China under the Redmi brand, the device is expected to be introduced globally, and in India, under the POCO brand as the POCO X7 Pro, with a scheduled release on January 9th.
