Samsung introduced its mid-range Galaxy A35 5G smartphone in March of this year, and the company is already working on its successor. The upcoming Galaxy A36 has now been spotted on Geekbench, revealing key details about its processor and operating system.

The Samsung Galaxy A36, identified by the model number SM-A336B, has made an appearance on Geekbench, a well-known benchmarking platform. The listing offers a first look at some of the phone’s critical components, especially its processor and operating system.

According to the benchmark details, the Galaxy A36 is equipped with an octa-core CPU. The CPU includes 4 performance cores clocked at 2.40 GHz and 4 efficiency cores running at 1.80 GHz. This configuration strongly suggests that the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s recently announced Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC.

In terms of memory, the Geekbench listing shows that the Galaxy A36 will come with 6GB of RAM, although it’s possible that an 8GB RAM variant could also be in the works. As for software, the device is expected to run Android 15 out of the box, likely with Samsung’s custom One UI 7.0 layered on top. On the performance front, the Galaxy A36 achieved a single-core score of approximately 1000 and a multi-core score around 3000 on Geekbench.
