Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch the Galaxy S25 series globally on January 22nd, though the brand has yet to make an official announcement. Ahead of the anticipated release, the base Galaxy S25 has surfaced on Geekbench, providing insight into some key specifications.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Geekbench details
While the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra have previously been spotted on Geekbench, this is the first appearance of the standard Galaxy S25 on the benchmarking platform.
The Geekbench listing reveals the Galaxy S25, carrying the model number “SM-S931N,” which is likely for the Korean variant. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This SoC features six performance cores clocked at 3.53GHz and two prime cores running at 4.47GHz. Interestingly, the Galaxy S25 appears to be using a custom version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with slightly higher clock speeds compared to other devices equipped with the same chipset. This customization is similar to what Samsung implemented with the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
On Geekbench, the Galaxy S25 scored 2,481 points in the single-core test and 8,658 points in the multi-core test. These scores are slightly lower than those achieved by other Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered devices, which might be due to this being a test unit. Performance is expected to improve in the final retail version. The listing also confirms the Galaxy S25 is equipped with 12GB of RAM and runs on Android 15.
