It’s finally time for us to start preparing for the launch of the Galaxy S26 series. The official Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for January 22nd. In the event, we will see the official debut of Samsung Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. But before we move to the official launch, we have a few rumors leaking the specifications of the device. A new piece of information reveals that the device will have a brighter and more efficient display.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will pack a brighter and more efficient display

As per a piece of new information, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will use the latest CoE technology in the display. This tech has already been used by the brand on its Galaxy Fold lineup. The Fold 3 was the first device to make use of this tech. This tech will be now used in the S26 Ultra. However, the baseline S26 and S26+ will not get the upgrade this year

The CoE tech uses the modern structure to replace the traditional polarizer with colour filters. This effectively improves the light transmittance and reduces the overall thickness of the screen. Because of this new tech, the screen can achieve upto 50% higher brightness level than the traditional screen.

The new display tech will heavily impact the screen and its battery usage by increasing efficiency. We can expect more smartphones to pack this display tech in the future.
